Adobe Illustrator CS5 best features

Just as Photoshop CS5 brings many brand new features,  Adobe Illustrator is not an exception. I love the wonderful artistic brushes, and the fully control variable-width strokes.
Now an example. I start drawing directly by Photoshop. -->

Così come Photoshop CS5 porta con se molti miglioramenti, anche adobe Illustrator non è da meno.
Le novità che più mi hanno entusiasmato sonPubblica posto i pennelli artistici e lo strumento larghezza tracciato.
Iniziamo da quest'ultimo. Lo strumento larghezza tracciato è davvero molto comodo perchè ora modellare i tracciati variandone la larghezza è diventato semplicissimo e molto intuitivo.
Ecco un esempio. Parto disegnando direttamente in Photoshop. -->


Then, I strat to use illustrator with the instruments variable-width strokes. It's very simple, just click on vector and you can choose the widht.

Poi inizio a tracciare in illustrator. Lo strumento larghezza tracciato mi è servito per poter modulare il tracciato come se fosse una pennellata con un semplice click sulle maniglie che si vengono a creare cliccando sul tracciato.

About the brushes, imagine that you are using Photoshop, use the brush tool and paint, the result is very similar but in thiscase the strokes are a vector. This is a really good new feature, especially for those who are forced to work with vector.

Per quanto riguada i pennelli, immaginate di stare usando Photoshop, usate lo strumento pennello e dipingete, il risultato è davvero molto simile solamente che in questo caso le pennellate sono dei tracciati. Davvero ottima questa novità introdotta, soprattutto per chi è costretto per esigenze grafiche a lavorare solamente in vettoriale.

By the way, Adobe Illustrator cs5 is a very good software. Beware to use a lot of brushes because they can cause problems with printing, so the wisest solution is to rasterize and thereby lose all the benefits of having a vector.

However, if you want to use vector for drawing, Illustrator CS5 is the best choice.

Tirando le somme in Adobe hanno davvero migliorato Illustrator. Certo non tutto è oro quel che luccica, ad esempio l'abuso dei pennelli è sconsigliato perchè potrebbe dare problemi in fase di stampa, quindi la soluzione più saggia è quella di rasterizzarli perdendo di conseguenza tutti i benefici di avere un tracciato. Rimane comunque il fatto che sono stati fatti passi da gigante per quanto riguarda il vettoriale soprattutto se introdotto nel mondo dell'illustrazione.
